The shar-e-bike is a part of a flexible public bike rental/sharing system and therefore the solution for environmentally friendly individual transport. I believe that its hybrid nature is a perfect solution for contemporary people due to the electric engine support you are much faster and your transform your effort more efficiently into the motion itself. However the basic effort required still makes you exercise your body. In addition to that the bike benefits from its software support: navigation, information and connectivity. That makes it more responsive to the actual of city traffic situation as well as more accessible for all users. The challenge of the design process was to create a semantic form of an electric bike, where all its aspects create a coherent system.
